This scholarship is awarded to outstanding high school graduates accepted to the University of Central Florida (UCF). Students applying for UCF summer or fall admission are automatically considered for this prestigious recognition of science fair achievement and academic excellence.

Eligibility

Who Can Apply

Scholarships are awarded to students who meet the following criteria and demonstrate excellence in science education.

High School Graduate

Required

Must have graduated from an accredited high school

UCF Acceptance

Required

Accepted to the University of Central Florida for summer or fall admission

Full-Time Enrollment

Required

Minimum 12 UCF credit hours each fall and spring semester

Science Fair Participation

Required

Demonstrated excellence in Florida science fair programs

Automatic consideration: No separate scholarship application required for UCF applicants
Requirements

Maintaining Your Scholarship

To continue receiving scholarship benefits, students must meet these ongoing requirements each semester.

Minimum 3.0
UCF GPA

Maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average at UCF

12 Credits
Per Semester

Enroll in minimum 12 UCF credit hours each fall and spring

24 Credits
Per Year

Complete 24 credit hours per academic year

8 Semesters
Maximum Duration

Scholarship available for up to 8 semesters

Important Restrictions

No dual enrollment hours counted toward eligibility
No transient hours counted toward eligibility
All credits must be earned at UCF
Policies

Renewal & Deferment

Understanding scholarship continuation and leave policies

  • Maintain minimum 3.0 UCF GPA throughout scholarship period
  • Complete required 24 credit hours per academic year
  • Remain in good academic standing with the university
  • Continue full-time enrollment (12+ credits) each fall and spring

Need to Request Deferment?

Contact the UCF Financial Aid Office with documentation of your approved leave reason. Deferment requests must be submitted before the start of the affected semester.

Selected recipients will be notified by UCF Financial Aid Office along with their admission decision and financial aid package.
